What are the effects of plate heat exchangers?

If the plate heat exchanger is not cleaned after being used for a period of time, the scale will appear, which will have a certain impact on the heat exchanger itself and working efficiency:

1、 The thermal conductivity of carbon steel is 464-522w / (MK), but the thermal conductivity of carbonate scale is 0464 ~ 0697w / (MK), which is only about 1% of carbon steel. The thermal conductivity of scale or other deposits is much lower than that of metal. Therefore, when scale or other deposits cover the heat exchange surface of heat exchanger condenser, the heat exchange efficiency of heat exchanger condenser will be greatly reduced and the quality will be affected;

2、 Reduce the circulating water volume, cover the heat exchange pipe wall in the heat exchanger condenser with sediment or microbial slime, and even block the heat exchange pipe, so as to reduce the cross-sectional area and flux of the circulating water channel, so as to further reduce the heat exchange effect of the heat exchanger condenser and prolong the cooling time;

3、 Reduce the use effect of water treatment agents. Sediments and microbial slime cover the metal surface, preventing water treatment agents such as corrosion inhibitor, scale inhibitor and bactericide from reaching the metal surface of heat exchanger condenser, and some microorganisms will react with some water treatment agents, Thus, the use effect of these agents is destroyed and reduced;

4、 Accelerate the generation of corrosion deposits and microorganisms, promote the formation of concentration corrosion battery and corrosion under scale, and aggravate the corrosion rate of metal in heat exchanger condenser;

5、 Shorten the service life of industrial equipment, deposit and microbial slime cover the surface of heat exchanger condenser, prevent effective heat exchange of plate heat exchanger, and lead to metal fatigue; On the other hand, corrosion will lead to the thinning of the heat exchange tube wall of condenser such as heat exchanger, especially the corrosion and rust under the scale will also lead to the perforation and leakage of equipment;

6、 Increase the operation cost. In order to maintain sufficient heat exchange efficiency of industrial equipment, measures such as increasing water volume must be taken. At the same time, in order to repair the damage caused by corrosion and other reasons, it is necessary to increase some use, so as to enhance the operation cost of industrial equipment.
