Fixed distance columns are evenly welded on each plate, which makes a certain distance between the two plates to form a heat exchange channel. The fixed distance columns not only support the steel plate to resist fluid pressure, but also increase turbulence when the fluid flows in the heat exchange channel, so as to improve the heat exchange efficiency. The two fluids flowing through the two adjacent flow channels have different temperatures. They conduct heat transfer through the spiral steel plate to achieve the purpose of heat exchange. The spacing between the two flow channels selects the appropriate flow rate in the flow channel according to the flow, and determines the spacing of the flow channel according to the generated pressure drop. The spacing between the two flow channels can be the same or different. The runner spacing shall not be too small or too large, too small is easy to be blocked, too large is not conducive to heat transfer, and it is difficult to achieve in the manufacturing process structure. Generally, 8-30mm is more suitable.
For the two media for heat exchange, if they are both liquids, they flow in the spiral direction in the flow channel of the spiral plate heat exchanger and flow in the way of countercurrent. The so-called countercurrent means that the flow directions of the two liquids in the adjacent flow channels are opposite, so that the two fluids can always maintain a certain temperature difference in the process of mutual heat transfer, so as to obtain a better heat exchange effect.
